Monika graduated from James Cook University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, as an Academic Medal recipient. Her interest in dentistry as a career was ignited whilst completing her secondary schooling at Holy Spirit College. Upon graduating university, she was delighted to return to her home town to join the Plaza Dental team.
Monika is passionate about patient care and listening to your oral health concerns, with the aim of ensuring your dental experience is a positive one – leaving you pleasantly surprised by the advancements and enhanced patient focus in modern dental care. Monika endeavours to give patients the confidence to be proud of their smile, whether it’s the smile you already have or a smile you are working towards.
Another aspect of Monika’s dental interest is providing dental care to children requiring large amounts of dental treatment under general anaesthetic at the Mater Hospital. She understands the need once dental treatment is completed to provide after care and support to children and their families to ensure healthy lifelong oral habits are formed early.
Outside of work, Monika enjoys singing as a member of the Mackay Choral Society and loves a day out on the boat snorkelling and fishing with her husband. Fishing tips are guaranteed but this fisherwoman never reveals her secret spots…
